About this coffee

Muinami delivers a flavour-packed cup with a medium-to-high acidity reminiscent of berries like blackberry and blackcurrant. It's sweet like barley sugar, with a beautiful floral finish. So juicy it feels like biting into a pink grapefruit!

In 2015, Stephen Nendela Muinami returned to the land of his childhood near Eldoret, transforming the family's sugarcane cultivation into a small coffee production exported as a micro-lot.

Encouraged by this initial success, he acquired a second 17-acre farm at 1,900 m altitude near Kitale. Located in the Cherangany Hills, in the heart of the Western Rift Valley, this former 1970s coffee plantation has been brought back to life in a cool, mountainous microclimate.

Together with his partner Lilian, Stephen named the farm Nawiri, meaning prosperity. Locally, however, it's known as Muinami, Stephen's family name. Laid out in terraced plots, the farm blends different coffee varieties, agroforestry, beehives, and the surrounding nature. A living place, cultivated with care, where every detail matters and shows up in the cup.
