Manual extraction (french/français)

The Manual extraction workshop is fully booked for the season and will be back in fall 2024.

Welcome to the world of filter coffee. This workshop will help you demystify and understand the differences between three manual extraction techniques – Chemex, AeroPress and V60. We will also talk about some theoretical aspects that will allow you to make more informed choices for your next coffee acquisitions.

The workshop is divided into four parts  

1. We talk about the origin, the processes, the altitude and the roasting;  
2. We taste together the results of Chemex, AeroPress and V60 ;
3. You learn to control the parameters (dose, grind and temperature) ;  
4. We practice!  

Educator : Roxanne Matte-Guilbault

Roxanne has been in the specialty coffee industry for over 15 years. From head barista to manager, from owner of the Esquina café to roaster, the experience she has accumulated so far is impressive and makes her an incredible educator. We are lucky to have Roxanne on our team!

Registrations are open up to 4 days before the workshop. Registrations are non-refundable within 72 hours of notice. Within this 72 hours it will still be possible to exchange the ticket for a gift certificate or to offer it to another person.
