Name: Matcha Sasameyuki
Grade: Ceremonial, Organic
Cultivar: Blend by Masaru Kikuoka-sensei
Region: Uji, Kyoto, Japan
Harvest: First flush – Spring
Certification: JAS
Tasting notes: Jasmine, creamy almond butter, bold finish
A refined Japanese ceremonial matcha with a smooth, bold character and layered floral notes. Crafted from first-flush leaves, it offers a balanced cup with creamy depth and vibrant energy.
This matcha is smooth and expressive, with a beautiful balance between sweetness and gentle bitterness.
We especially love it prepared with milk, where its creamy texture and floral notes really shine.
Our favourite ratio is:
2.5 g of matcha powder
30 g of water (75–80°C)
200 ml of milk, we love oatbox
Uji Matcha Sasameyuki is produced organically under the direction of tea master Masaru Kikuoka-sensei.
The production facility in Higashiyama, Uji, is certified to the strictest international food safety standard FSSC22000, and for organic production by the Japan Organic and Natural Foods Association (JONA) under the Japanese Agricultural Standards (JAS).
