Rudy’s coffee is your everyday go-to coffee. Brewed as a filter, it offers a silky texture with sweet notes reminiscent of toffee and a light, juicy acidity leaning toward nectarine. As an espresso, the texture becomes creamy, with a pleasant touch of acidity that finishes on caramel and nut butter.

Rudy has been immersed in the world of coffee since childhood. At a very young age, he and his brother would germinate coffee seeds and create small seedlings, wrapping them in plantain leaves to protect the roots. Without land of their own, they would then sell these seedlings to neighbors who wanted to start growing coffee. At 15, Rudy’s father inherited a small plot of land, and Rudy officially began his career as a coffee producer. Today, at 60, he has been working his own land for over 38 years.

For the past nine years, he has also been part of the Café Colis Resistencia collective, which defends the Xinca people’s territory against a Canadian mining company operating a silver mine, and works to create better selling opportunities for the community beyond the local Guatemalan coffee market.
