The Berruecos Project is an initiative led by coffee producer Francy Castillo, who collaborates with farmers in her region to support and help them improve their practices and the quality of their production.
The initiative involves visits to producers' farms to understand the community's needs, provide technical assistance where farmers receive advice on specialty coffee-related issues, and supply tools used daily in their field work. This project contributes to the comprehensive and sustainable development of the coffee industry by promoting quality, environmental preservation, inclusion, and competitiveness for the benefit of producers, youth, and women in the community.
This blend includes coffee from 105 small farms located around the town of Arboleda. Farmers in this region work diligently to cultivate, harvest, and process their coffee to showcase the terroir and the complexity of natural aromas present in the coffee. Each farmer uses a different washing method, making this blend so unique and exciting.
