About This Coffee

This Geisha reveals a vibrant aromatic profile, carried by floral notes of jasmine and orange blossom. The cup is marked by juicy grapefruit and bergamot reminiscent of Earl Grey tea. As a filter, the result is silky and precise, with a bright acidity and a long, floral, delicately citrusy finish.

Edinson Argote brings extraordinary expertise to his coffees, the result of years of experience in specialty coffee before launching his own project, Quebraditas, alongside his partner Angela Rojas and their families.

The process used for this coffee is complex and executed with great precision. A thermal shock is applied: the beans are first submerged in hot water, then rapidly cooled in ice-cold water, causing the coffee's aromas to burst open. During fermentation, the coffee receives a yeast inoculation along with the addition of citrus zests which, in interaction with the hyper-complex potential of the geisha variety, yield an explosive floral profile and a truly stunning cup.

Quebraditas is a family project dedicated to producing specialty coffees with unique aromatic profiles. To achieve this, the farm implements agronomic practices focused on soil health, including strategic shading, the use of organic matter, and maintaining a balanced pH through amendments and lime applications. These attentive cultivation practices improve cup quality before the coffee is processed with the utmost care — resulting in coffees that are superb, original, explosive, and truly sought-after.
