The Pledge : transparency.coffee
Silverio Nina has been working in coffee since 2007, after a career in road construction. Having grown up around coffee, and deeply influenced by both his father and grandfather, who were also coffee producers, Silverio entered the industry with a strong foundation of knowledge.
He is part of the Sol de la Mañana producer group, a mentorship program launched by the exporting company Agricafé. The program provides education and technical support aimed at improving both land productivity and coffee quality throughout the region. Today, Sol de la Mañana works with over 200 members and has helped increase average productivity from 2.5 bags of coffee per hectare to nearly 20. This has allowed producers to significantly improve their income without needing to expand their land.
In the cup, Silverio’s coffee offers a classic profile with a gentle sweetness reminiscent of apricot and nectarine. Round and silky, it delivers a long, smooth finish with sugars that slowly develop into soft caramelized notes
