The fifth Main dans la main supports Nations Skate Youth, an organization that travels across Turtle Island to bring skateboarding to Indigenous communities, providing a way to connect with youth.

“We’re based in Vancouver and we call this territory Turtle Island because for us, the border between Canada and the United States doesn’t exist,” says Rosie Archie, co-founder of the organization. Nations Skate Youth travels all over, including Hawaii, where they’ve distributed about 100 skateboards through doss. The goal was not only to acknowledge the impact of colonialism, but also to celebrate the resilience of Indigenous cultures and traditions. By sharing their stories of the benefits of skateboarding, they hope to inspire youth to discover new passions and build supportive communities.

Funds raised from the coffee will help fund the 2025 workshops. It has long been a dream of the organization to visit Australia to connect with local Indigenous youth, where the skateboarding scene is booming. “Sharing what we do at Nations around the world is a dream of ours,” concludes Rosie Archie.
